I work as a GP Partner in Gateshead and as Clinical Lead Librarian for Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland Clinical Support Information. Our work ensures Primary Care staff can access trusted, up-to-date, clinical information, service information and guidelines quickly and easily at the point of care from a single online clinical portal. We have evolved from multiple local teams to a co-ordinated regional team providing a resource available to all those working in Primary Care across the ICB. We combine frontline clinical insight, digital innovation and data on user engagement, to help identify information gaps, support strategic change, and ensure clinicians can access trusted information quickly. Our focus is on making it easier for healthcare staff to find the information they need, when they need it, ultimately supporting safe, consistent and efficient patient care.
