Born and raised in Yorkshire, Asim has established his career in Bradford and Leeds, where he works as a GP Trainer, Pain Specialist, and Occupational Health Physician.
After graduating from Liverpool University in 2000, Asim explored various medical specialities before deciding to focus on primary care. His interest in pain management began seventeen years ago when he took over an MSK and Acupuncture clinic from a retiring colleague. Building on this foundation, he went on to complete a Masters in Pain Management and has accumulated more than a decade of experience in the field. Currently, he is broadening his approach by exploring alternative holistic methods to help people manage pain symptoms.
Asim is deeply involved in pain research, education, and the development of local care pathways and guidelines. His collaborative work includes contributions to ‘Flippin Pain’ and ‘Pain Toolkit’, and he serves as an MSK Champion for Arthritis UK. He previously held the position of founder and Clinical Lead for ‘Rethinking Pain.’ Asim is now Pain Lead for the Bradford S&W Musculoskeletal Team.
