Dr Bea Bakshi is a GP and the co-founder and CEO of C the Signs, an AI cancer prediction platform developed as a junior doctor after losing a patient to late-stage cancer. It is now adopted by 11,000 healthcare professionals in primary care, working in partnership with ICBs, Cancer Alliances, and PCNs. She has previously driven national digital health policy as Deputy IT Lead for the British Medical Association’s GP Committee and Deputy Chair of the Joint GP IT Committee across NHSE, NHSD, and RCGP.
Dr Bakshi co-led the launch of the £300m online consultation fund, advanced interoperability, electronic prescribing, and led the GDPR implementation in primary care. She co-authored the first Dynamic Purchasing System Framework with NHSD for digital health product regulation and procurement. Previously, she negotiated terms for the £3.2bn junior doctors’ contract in 2016. An Obama Leader Fellow, she addresses global inequalities and has received multiple awards, including Cartier’s Young Leader Award in 2023.
