Katie qualified from UCL in 2003 and completed her GP training in North London in 2008, having previously held national negotiating roles for GP Registrars and junior doctors at the British Medical Association (BMA).

She was a partner in a GMS practice until 2016, when she was invited to become Medical Director for Londonwide LMCs. In 2018, she joined Cambs LMC, taking on the role of Chief Executive in 2019. Katie has continued to practise as a GP throughout her career, though now in a low-volume capacity close to home in Hertfordshire.

Alongside leading Cambs LMC, Katie is currently seconded to the BMA as Chair of England’s GP Committee, responsible for negotiating the GMS contract annually, a role she was elected to in August 2023.
