Chris is a pain physician in Liverpool and has primary interests in pain diagnostics, rehabilitation, evidence-based practice, and guideline development. He has worked within primary, community, secondary & tertiary sectors and has lead the clinical transformation of pain services within Merseyside and Lancashire.

He has co-chaired national guidelines for both Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Fibromyalgia, and co-authored European standards for CRPS. He has been a member of NICE guideline development group for Chronic Primary Pain, RCGP National representative for pain and Chair of Primary and Community Care Special Interest Group for the British Pain Society. Chris has lectured widely on all aspects of pain diagnostics and management.
