Gill McNeil is a Diabetes Specialist Nurse and Medical Educator with experience supporting people living with diabetes across both hospital and community settings over many years. In her Medical Educator role at Abbott, she works with healthcare professionals across the UK to advise on the latest approaches to diabetes management. She also continues to practise as a Nurse across Dumfries and Galloway, providing specialist diabetes care through outpatient clinics.

Gill began her nursing career on a dedicated diabetes ward before becoming a Practice Nurse and diabetes lead, later progressing to Diabetes Specialist Nurse. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in helping people manage diabetes and reduce the risk of associated long-term conditions, including cardiovascular and kidney disease. Passionate about prevention and healthy ageing, Gill is a strong advocate for empowering people to take an active role in managing their health.
