Benedict is an NHS GP and clinical academic at Imperial College London, with 15 years’ experience in general practice. He is also Clinical Safety Officer for eConsult Health Ltd.
A Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Benedict holds a doctorate in medicine, a master’s degree in medical law, and diplomas in medical philosophy and obstetrics and gynaecology. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the British Computer Society, and a Leading Practitioner of the Federation for Informatics Professionals in Health and Social Care.
With over 100 peer-reviewed publications, Benedict’s research spans digital health, quality of care, multimorbidity, mental health, dementia, and antimicrobial resistance, and has influenced national policy, clinical guidance, and healthcare regulation.
