Speaker Bio
Dr Ramsey Sabit has been a Consultant in General and Respiratory Medicine based at University Hospital Llandough since 2009. He qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine with Honours in 2000.
He completed his higher training in respiratory medicine on the All Wales Rotation and in 2009 was awarded an MD for his research into the cardiovascular effects of COPD.
He is currently the clinical lead for COPD, smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
In 2016 Dr Sabit was appointed COPD lead for the All Wales Respiratory Health Improvement Group. Dr Sabit has a keen interest in undergraduate education and was appointed honorary senior lecturer at Cardiff University in 2012.
He has also an author and course director for an online diploma in respiratory medicine.
