Dr Luke Daines is a GP and Clinical Lecturer in primary care at the University of Edinburgh and Secretary of the European Respiratory Society primary care group.
During his PhD, Luke developed a clinical prediction model for the diagnosis of asthma in primary care, which he implemented into practice as a Clinical Decision Support System.
Luke contributed to the BTS/SIGN asthma guideline in 2016 and 2019 and provides updates on asthma for clinicians through eLearning modules, talks, courses and publications.
Alongside his academic commitments, Luke works as a GP at Murieston Medical Practice, enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports.
