Dr Matthew Doré. Who is he? He is a Palliative Care Consultant in NI Hospice and the Belfast Trust. He is bald. He is the current Honorary Secretary of the Association for Palliative Medicine (APM) of Great Britain and Ireland, and the co-lead for the monthly Clinical ECHO and podcast for Hospice UK and the APM. He has twin 12 year old boys and a 8 year old feral one as well. He used to have hair. He is the current editor of the Oxford Handbook for Palliative care, has written a few papers in the BMJ, UMJ and BMJSPC. He misses having hair. He has an ever-patient wife –Sharon whom he adores, and he is also the ex-president of the Palliative Care Congress and a current elected member of the national APM ethics committee. He once had a beautiful full head. He has spoken at Westminster and the Dail and on assisted dying, which he is a strongly opposed and has spoken in various media outlets about this, including the Telegraph, the Times, The Mail, BBC, ITV and others. Overall, he wishes he had a bit more hair.
