Aleks is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of healthcare experience. She is pursuing a PhD at the University of Leicester, researching asthma mortality trends and predictors of asthma-related deaths in children. Her clinical background spans emergency care, NHS 111, acute medicine, and primary care, with a focus on respiratory disease management. Passionate about evidence-based care, research, and education, Aleks delivers respiratory workshops and holds leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the BTS Nurse SAG, BTS Council Member, Co-Chair of the BTS Statement Group on Cough in Children, and Vice-Chair of the ARNS Research & Education Sub-Committee. She is also a Healthcare Improvement Coach and NRAP Clinical Fellow, dedicated to advancing respiratory health through research, education, and improved patient outcomes.
