Louise qualified as a General Nurse from the University of Dundee in 2000 and has worked in general practice since 2007, specialising in chronic disease management and respiratory care. She currently works at Orwell Medical Practice at Loch Leven in Kinross.

In 2022, Louise also became a Specialist Respiratory Nurse with NHS Fife, supporting GP practices and bringing professional expertise and personal insight as someone living with asthma. She is committed to respectful, person-centred care, always remembering there is a real person behind every set of observations. Louise also enjoys sharing knowledge with fellow nurses.

Outside work, she shows dogs and is a keen runner, from shorter races to hill running—with the occasional questionable decision to enter another event.
