Judy Winter has been a qualified nurse for 30 years and for the past 24 years has spent most of her time looking after the person with Type 2 Diabetes. Over the last 11 years she has worked in a dual role as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Diabetes Specialist Nurse within the primary care setting in the Greater Preston CCG. Judy completed the Warwick Course in Diabetes and 11 years ago undertook a Masters' Programme in Insulin Initiation and Titration. Diabetes is where her passion lies, delivering individualised, evidenced based care to ensure positive outcomes for patients. As an ANP she has also developed a wide range of skills that complement her role as a diabetes specialist. She is passionate about upskilling and educating fellow clinicians and is involved in teaching and presenting on both a promotional and non-promotional basis, locally and nationally.
