Aleksandra Gawlik-Lipinski is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Leicester, where her research explores trends in fatal and near-fatal asthma in children and young people using routinely collected healthcare data. She currently works as a Respiratory Consultant Nurse in primary care, and has 20 years of healthcare experience overall — including nursing, previous work as a paramedic, and 10 years specifically in primary care. Since 2019, she has specialised in respiratory medicine, running specialist respiratory clinics with a particular interest in paediatric asthma.
She holds several national advisory roles, including Honorary Clinical Fellow (National Respiratory Audit Programme - NRAP, Children and Young People Asthma workstream), Council Member at Asthma + Lung UK, and Vice-Chair of the Research and Education Sub-Committee at the Association of Respiratory Nurses (ARNS).
