Originally founded over 100 years ago in Nagoya, Japan, Brother’s first European base was established in Ireland in 1958. This was at a time when we made a whole range of products, from typewriters to motorbikes!

In 1968, we took over the Jones Sewing Machine factory to make Manchester the new home of Brother UK. And to this day we're still producing the sewing machines that made us famous, as well as a range of industry-leading office technologies and business solutions.
