Dr. Sulaxni Nainani is a GP by background with a special interest in ENT and extensive experience in strategic clinical leadership across the NHS. She joined the Care Quality Commission as Director of Primary Care and Community Services in March this year, following her role as Deputy Chief Medical Officer within the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland ICB. Sulaxni brings a strong track record in strategic leadership, quality improvement and service transformation, with a particular focus on reducing unwarranted variation, improving outcomes and supporting high-quality, person-centred care. She is passionate about using insight, assurance and improvement to support providers in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care, while helping drive continuous improvement across services. Driven by a commitment to improving care and experience for patients and communities, her work focuses on strengthening quality oversight and supporting consistently high standards across primary and community services.
