Paul is an experienced pharmacy leader specialising in strategic clinical support within commercial and policy settings having worked in national NHS and government pharmacy roles across the UK. He is currently the Lead Pharmacist for NHS England’s Medicines Value & Access Directorate, whose work is to ensure that the most clinically appropriate and cost-effective medicines are accessible for NHS patients. Specifically on biosimilars he leads strategic programmes to improve efficiency through the optimisation of biosimilars, including prioritisation, horizon scanning, and cross-system implementation approaches. His role also involves supporting national processes such as NICE reviews and developing system-wide strategies for high priority therapeutic areas.
