Andrew Pothecary is a senior pharmacist with a specialist background in rheumatology and medicines optimisation. His role spans clinical leadership, service development, education, governance and clinical informatics. Andrew has a particular interest in medicines clinical effectiveness, biologics and advanced therapies, and in using data and digital systems to improve the safety, quality and sustainability of medicines use. He has led and contributed to multidisciplinary service redesign, guideline development, informatics-enabled pathway development and quality improvement initiatives, and regularly supports the education and development of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals across the NHS.
