Soobia is a qualified pharmacist and independent prescriber, currently working as the Pharmacy Workforce Transformation Programme Lead for Frimley Integrated Care System. In her current role, she is committed to implementing pharmacy workforce priorities, integrating training programmes and helping to develop innovative roles.
Soobia began her career in hospital pharmacy, where she gained extensive clinical experience through specialist rotations and providing out-of-hours services at London teaching hospitals.
She later transitioned into primary care, completing the CPPE Primary Care Education Pathway and practicing as an Independent Prescriber across two Primary Care Networks. Her role involved running chronic disease clinics, providing same-day appointments, supporting other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in primary care, engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to COVID-19 vaccination hubs.
She remains passionate about workforce transformation and education, with a strong focus on the evolving role of pharmacists and placing patients at the heart of care.
