Vishal graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2010 and began his Pharmacist career in Community Pharmacy.
He moved into commissioning in 2015 with Oxfordshire CCG and then over the last 4 years has been based in Leicestershire, most recently at Head of Medicines Optimisation for East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG.
Vishal’s current role is the Head of PCN Medicines and Research for Cross Counties PCN in Leicestershire, he has been in this role since 2020 being instrumental in the development of PCN structures and programmes of work against the PCN network contract and GP contract. Vishal has been involved in developing the strategy along with the management structure for the PCN to become a sustainable organisation. Vishal is and the ICB Clinical Lead for Medicines Optimisation and has been in this role since 2022 and has been involved in driving forward the Medicines Optimisation agenda in Primary Care.
