Peter Lilford is Deputy Director for Pharmacy, Eyecare and Controlled Drugs at the Department of Health and Social Care. He leads policy on community pharmacy, including the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework, Pharmacy First and wider system reform, alongside responsibility for eye care services and controlled drugs regulation. Peter works closely with the NHS, regulators and sector bodies.

Before moving into his current role, Peter held positions in adult social care policy, DHSC / NHSE strategic finance, and HM Treasury, as well as a previous career in international development.
