Emma Anderson is the Clinical Services Director for Evans Pharmacy. Alongside leading the pharmacy team in delivering clinical services, she is passionate about prescribing within community pharmacy urgent care clinics. She enjoys working with GPs to accept referrals into community pharmacy, helping to increase the number of face-to-face appointments available for patients seeking access to care.
Emma's motivation for undertaking the Independent Prescribing course came from witnessing patients in community pharmacy struggle to access care during the recovery period following the COVID-19 pandemic. She also undertakes consultancy work in emergency contraception and public health.
Emma is a CPPE Regional Tutor in the East Midlands. In this role, she works with stakeholders to develop and deliver educational programmes and events for pharmacy professionals. She is currently enjoying working on programmes related to prescribing and the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service.
