Dr. Salman Shahid is GP Partner and senior healthcare leader based in Manchester. He currently serves as Associate Medical Director at Manchester Integrated Care Board (Rochdale Locality) and Senior GP Partner at Rochdale Road Medical Centre bringing over 25 years of NHS clinical and strategic leadership experience.

He served as the first Clinical Director of Middleton Primary Care Network (PCN), providing strategic healthcare leadership for a population of over 55,000 people.

He was honoured as a Local NHS Champion by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Rt Hon. Steve Barclay MP, at an exclusive event at 10 Downing Street in 2024.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Shahid was recognised among the Top 50 GPs in the UK by Pulse Magazine for his outstanding contribution to patient care. He subsequently received the Unsung Hero Award for his extraordinary dedication during that period.
In November 2023, Dr. Shahid and his team won the prestigious HSJ Award for Best Integrated Healthcare, recognising their exemplary work in the Rochdale locality.

He is currently part of senior leadership team involved in National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Program at Rochdale Borough being one of the pilot site.

Dr Shahid is a passionate advocate for integrated care. He and his team actively collaborate with community and voluntary services at neighbourhood level to tackle poverty, isolation, loneliness, and deprivation across Greater Manchester.
