Gurnak is a practicing General Practitioner whose career spans a diverse portfolio of clinical, leadership, educational, and advisory roles. He is the Deputy Chief Clinical Information Officer for Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland ICB, Chair of the Midlands CXIO Network and Chair of the Equity Charter where he is at the forefront of digital transformation in healthcare. He is also ICB Clinical Lead for Cancer and Frailty, as well as an NHS England GP Peer Ambassador.

Driven by a commitment to reducing health inequalities, Gurnak is a passionate advocate for creating a healthcare system where digital advancements closes the gap in health disparities. He believes that technology, when designed and implemented with purpose, has the potential to empower patients and staff, improve access to care, and deliver more equitable health outcomes.
