Nicola Gitsham is the Head of Strategy and Policy for the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme at NHS England. The National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme is currently supporting 43 places to develop neighbourhood health, spread good practice across the country and use this learning to inform policy, strategy and practice.

Nicola is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about personalised, holistic approaches to health and wellbeing which enable people to live their best lives. Nicola spent half her career leading change in services and the other half leading national large scale change programmes such as personalised care, learning disability, children and young people with SEND, health inequalities and social prescribing.

Nicola will share examples of how health, care, VCSE and wider partners are working across organisational boundaries to deliver person centred, proactive, preventive care which is joined up for people and communities and delivered as close to home as possible.
