Dr Davies is Director of Research and Insights at Community Pharmacy England. He qualified as a pharmacist in hospital, before joining UCL where his research and PhD thesis focused on the future role of community pharmacy, and how future business and professional models of community pharmacy practice are likely to be structured.

He left academia to help develop a private digital startup that operated across Europe, acting as the Pharmacy Superintendent, company director and CQC registered manager. Dr Davies pursued further research in health policy and was most recently the Director for England at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where he co-authored Medicines Shortages: Solutions for Empty Shelves, before joining Community Pharmacy England.
