After qualifying from Liverpool John Moores university, completing a Masters in Pharmacy, Emad Mahmoud started his career in community pharmacy, completing his pre-registration year with Lloyds Pharmacy, and winning the Lloyds Pharmacy Pre-registration Pharmacist of the Year. He spent a number of years in his role as community pharmacist manager before looking to explore the options within general practice. Initially a PCN pharmacist, working for multiple practices across the SMASH PCN, he transitioned into working solely for Merepark Medical Centre, where he has been located for more than four years. Since then, he has also gained experience working within remote private services, as well as lecturing and educating medical and pharmacy students.
