Speaker Bio
Olivier is an award-winning community pharmacist, independent prescriber, and pharmacy owner with over 25 years’ experience in the profession. He began his pharmacy training in France, where he obtained a PhD, and has spent the majority of his career working in the UK. After serving for six years as Pharmacy Area Manager at Moss Pharmacy, Olivier founded his own business, Newdays Pharmacy Ltd., in 2006. The company now operates four community pharmacies across Berkshire.
From 2021 to 2023, Olivier played a pivotal role in the establishment and operation of the Covid-19 vaccination centre in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Successfully set up in just five weeks, the centre became one of the largest pharmacy-led vaccination sites in the UK and consistently ranked among the top 10 nationally throughout its operation. Olivier’s professional interests include travel medicine, obesity management as a specialist pharmacist, and the development and implementation of new NHS and private pharmacy services. In recognition of this work, Olivier was awarded Pharmacy Business of the Year at the 2022 Pharmacy Business Awards.
Alongside his business and clinical work, Olivier currently serves as the Chair of the National Pharmacy Association (NPA). He has been advocating for community pharmacy at a national level for over a decade. Media trained, Olivier regularly contributes to pharmacy publications and appears on national television and radio to promote the profession. He also engages frequently with Members of Parliament on key policy and sector developments.
