Jay Suntharalingam was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in Bath in 2007, after having completed a 2 year MD thesis in CTEPH at Royal Papworth Hospital. Since his appointment he has worked closely with Gerry Coghlan to develop a Shared Care PH service that now accepts referrals from across the South West of England and South Wales. Jay represents the PH community on NHS England’s Respiratory Specialised Commissioning Reference Group. He also has an active research interest, taking part both in commercial and in house PH research studies.
