Viv is a Queen’s Nurse and Independent Prescriber with more than 30 years’ experience of NHS clinical practice across primary, secondary and community care settings.

Viv's primary professional interest is improving quality of life and clinical outcomes for children and young people (CYP) with asthma. Viv is the Clinical Lead for CYP asthma in 2 Midlands ICB’s [Black Country and Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin] and collaborated with NHS England around the development of the capability framework set out in the CYP Asthma national bundle of care.

Viv holds the role of CYP Lead for the Association of Respiratory Nurses, is a member of the Asthma + Lung UK Council for Healthcare Professionals, and is the Lead Asthma Tutor for Rotherham Respiratory where she has developed a range of online asthma education modules.
